Jacob Shirley’s artwork often celebrates the joyful aspects of the Wasatch Mountains he grew up in. The work is inspired by the fantastical world that it could be. Many of his pieces contain a singular subject whose beauty is in central focus.
From professionally painting on 3 continents for over 2 decades, Jake's work has reached a very vast audience. His first solo exhibit, Tone, was a black and white collection of canvas work hosted in downtown Auckland, New Zealand. He has produced stand out murals for dirt bike shops in Cuenca, Ecuador. His reputation has placed him in commercial collections for businesses such as Traeger Grills, Intermountain Pool Covers, Cushman and Wakefield, and Microsoft. You can see his inspiration through artists such as the realist German group Maclaim, the minimalist work of Rachael Cassiani, the shading of Italian Eron, and the fun of Australian Sofles.
